In 2005, I started to explore the territory, its activities, and its manufacturing and social fabric with experimental projects such as Taranta VideoBlog (with Carlo Infante and Antonio Rollo). Then, I kept on working in the North-East of Italy through collaborations with festivals (Trento Film Festival) and organizations like Coop – Ad Alta Voce, where I collected portraits of out-of-the-box characters who followed their passions far off conventional paths.

Craftsmen, shepherds, people making radical and brave choices such as Gianni Rigoni Stern, alpinism pioneers like Reinhold Messner, Catherine Destivelle, Hervé Barmasse.

In 2014, I encountered the Department of Management of Ca’ Foscari University which hired me to critically develop authorial narratives of long-standing and Venice-based arts and crafts institutions like Fortuny and Nason Moretti. I take a step further in my research as I move from video making to video installations and I co-develop interactive features together with other professionals with whom we found the D20 ART LAB collective. We look for novel ways of storytelling, using an art-based approach challenging established narrative forms and suggesting a different gaze (Lotto Sport Italia, Monboot, Scarpa, Stonefly, Electrolux). Over time, we have developed a strong participatory component to projects. We work with small workshops, big brands, and public institutions and we bring them our point of view not only on manufacturing organizations, but also on territories and places facing regeneration processes.

I teach this tensions in storytelling and this art-based approach at Ca’ Foscari University’s Minor programme Artistic Management during my course of Video Storytelling. I am a member of MACLab (Management of Arts and Culture Laboratory) and I work with the research center AIKU Arte Impresa Cultura at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.
